At today's American Music Awards, Kesha took to the stage with Big Freedia to perform a live rendition of their new song 'Raising Hell' from Kesha’s upcoming album High Road.
But the 32-year-old star had a surprise up her sleeve - and it arrived in the shape of her original smash hit, 'TiK ToK'.
Breaking into the 2010 track had the audience jumping to their feet, with one man's on-camera jaw-drop reaction quickly going viral.
The performance was especially powerful given it was originally produced by Dr Luke, with many fans observing that Kesha's live rendition felt like a taking back of power.
When the United States rang in the new year back in 2010, 'TiK ToK' was - and stayed there for another 9 weeks.
Over the following 10 years, Kesha experienced a roller-coaster pop music career; releasing three full-length studio albums and, in 2014, , and attempting to extricate herself from her recording contract with Sony Music.
However, the star now seems to be enjoying a moment of celebration and reflection.
"Kesha reminding us that TiK ToK is the greatest song ever recorded," one Twitter user wrote.
Another tweeted: "kesha just showed gen z kids what tik tok really means," referring to popular short-video social media platform Tik Tok.
According to , Kesha’s upcoming album, High Road, features collaborations with Sturgill Simpson, Brian Wilson, Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons, Nate Ruess of Fun. and is due for release early January 2020.
