빅토리아주 멜버른에서 토요일(6일) 수백 명이 모여 미얀마 군부 쿠데타에 항의하고 민주적으로 선출된 정부에 대한 지지를 표하는 집회가 열렸다.

멜버른 페더레이션 스퀘어에 모인 이들 시위대는 민주주의 민족동맹(NLD)의 상징색인 붉은 색 옷을 입고 최근 군부에 의해 수감 및 기소된 아웅산 수치 국가고문의 사진과 미얀마의 민주주의와 정의를 요구하는 플래카드를 들고 시위를 벌였다.
