The L Word: Generation Q will be returning to our screens for a second season, Showtime has announced.
As members of the LGBTIQ+ community around the world eagerly anticipate the season finale of season one, which airs on January 26, Showtime took to social media to confirm that the beloved series will be back with another ten episodes.

Originally screening between 2004 and 2009, the revival of The L Word had some fans feeling skeptical at first, but has ultimately been embraced.
Following the lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig) and Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), along with new characters Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi), season one was executive produced by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan alongside original series creator Ilene Chaiken.
"The L Word: Generation Q took our original series that was revered and reinvigorated it for a new generation and a new era,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc, according to .
“The result has been a show that appeals to all generations for its relevance, its fearlessness, its emotion and its fun."
He added: "I can’t wait to see what Marja, along with Ilene and this talented ensemble, will deliver for season two.”
