According to the birth data from ABS, Australia’s birth rate is 1.69 [ which means 1.69 births per mother]. Compared to that the Pakistani community in Australia’s birth rate is 2.89.
Some of the communities with leading birth rates in Australia include mothers from Samoa, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The Australian bureau's data indicates that Pakistani women have a high fertility rate in the age bracket of 25 – 34 years. Pakistani community witnessed the birth of 3,022 children in 2019.

The ABS study about Australian births has considered the birth country of the mothers to classify the fertility rates of various communities residing in Australia from around the world.
Pakistan tops the South Asian region with Afghanistan and Bangladesh having a high fertility rate of 2.81 and 2.10 respectively.

The community’s fertility rate has continued to be high compared to the overall Australian fertility rate in the past few years.
In Australia, there were 305,832 registered births in 2019, a decrease of 3.0% from 2018. For all Australian women, the total fertility rate was 1.66 births per woman while for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, the total fertility rate was 2.32 births per woman, according to ABS.
