Members were updated on this week’s development via an email sent by President Jill Taylor (Nikitakis).
Mr Malakonas had been appointed to the role a bit more than a year ago, in October 2019.
As stated in the letter addressed to members, found below, the organisation has already commenced processes to find a new successful candidate for the post.
Dear Member,
I write to advise that Mr Michael Malakonas has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Fronditha Care with immediate effect.
The Board thanks Mr Malakonas for his service to the organisation for the past 15 months and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
The Board has commenced the recruitment process to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer to guide our organisation to future success.
During this time of transition, the Board has every confidence that together with the senior leadership team and all our staff, we will continue to deliver on our mission and maintain our primary focus, on the care of our elderly.
Please be assured that there will be no disruption to the care provision of our residents and care-recipients across residential and community care services in Victoria and NSW.
Yours sincerely,
Jill Taylor (Nikitakis)
