A pair of gay acrobats have left a lasting impression on audiences after performing on La France a un Incroyable Talent, France’s verion of the 'Got Talent' franchise.

Prior to their performance, Guillaume and Arthur were asked by judge judge Hélène Ségara whether they had anything to say.

“We’re going to present a number against homophobia,” Arthur replied.

The dance duo then proceeded to wow the judges with a heart-wrenching performance set to Leonard Cohen’s 'Hallelujah' - ending with a kiss.
“It was so beautiful and it was so tender at the same time,” Ségara told Guillaume and Arthur following the interpretive number.

“I think that with or without a message, I found it beautiful, and it felt good.”

Another one of the show's judges, French singer and actress Marianne James, congratulated the pair on expressing intimacy on such a public stage.

“Two boys kissing on the lips is not something we often see on television, and that touched me deeply,” she told them.

The emotionally charged performance comes week after UK TV show Strictly Come Dancing, with openly gay professional dancer Johannes Radebe dancing with straight Italian choreographer Graziano di Prima.

“I’ve never felt so liberated. For the first time in my life, I feel accepted for who I am. That says so much about the people of this country," Radebe said of the performance.
