Happy World Pride!
The first trailer for the new Charlie's Angels dropped overnight and, safe to say, queer audiences are cheering.
Written, produced and directed by Hollywood heavyweight Elizabeth Banks, who also stars as Bosley, the new adaptation introduces three new angels - as well as a killer soundtrack featuring a collaboration between Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande.
The film stars Kristen Stewart as well as actresses Naomi Scott, who stars as Jasmine in Disney's new Aladdin remake, and Ella Balinska, a relative unknown recognised for her work on Midsomer Murders.
According to Banks, Charlie's Angels was "one of the original brands to celebrate the empowered woman", having first hit television screens in the 70s, before being adapted for the big screen in 2000.
"This film honours the legacy of Charles Townsend and his agency while introducing a new era of modern and global Angels," Banks said of the film
However, it was the trailer's clear and powerful gay energy that really won over fans.
Look, it's not yet known whether K-Stew's character will be queer, but for members of the LGBTIQ+ community, it doesn't really matter.
At a time of too many Hollywood remakes, we reckon this is one we can really get behind.
So with that: Good morning Charlie.
