'Phil Liggett: The Voice of Cycling' filmmakers Eleanor Sharpe and Nickolas Bird spent 11 weeks in South Africa, the UK, Australia and France to document Liggett's 51-year-career.
“This is not a cycling film. It’s a film about a man facing retirement, reflecting on his amazing life,” Bird told .
“It’s about grief, courage and ageing.”
Currently in post production, the coronavirus is likely to cause quite a bit of delay to its release.

Nick Kourambas: I rode down to see some Herald Sun Tour action after racing my own crit and unfortunately it was all over but I found Phil Liggett ! Absolute gentleman!! After talking to a lady about her dog and giving her dog a kiss, he asked me about my race and happy to take a pic 👊🏻
