The big name stars putting their best foot forward at the World Cup

As some of the 2018 World Cup's biggest stars take to the pitch they'll be relying on another iconic name in football to make their mark on the greatest stage of all when the Tournament gets underway on June 14.

Two stars set to dazzle fans in Russia, Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus and Uruguay's Luis Suarez, will be kitted out in the adidas Energy Mode X18+ boot for the tournament.

The Brazil striker, who is expected to lead the line for the Seleção, is sure to turn defences inside out with his speed and the X18+'s light weight design, Speedframe outsole and 3D moulded heel will help him get utilise his incredible acceleration and pace when it matters most.

The Energy Mode X18+ is made out of innovative materials including Skeletal Weave which is an ultra-thin woven grid of optically charged speed yarns to allow for responsive touch and lightweight feel.

Speedmesh will help players like Uruguay star Suarez have a controlled touch on the ball without restricting movement of the foot.

Roberto Firmino and Julian Draxler, who are star set to light up the competition at the World Cup, will take to the pitch in the Energy Mode Nemeziz 18+ 360 Agility with the Brazilian and German maestros kitted out with boots jam packed full of the latest tech.

Firmino amd Draxler are known for their crazy dribbling skills and the Nemeziz boot is designed to get the most out of their silky touches and movement on the ball.

Designed with Agilitybandage and Torsiontapes technology, the boot provides players with ultimate lockdown on their foot, according to adidas, so they are free to make explosive movements to fly past defenders and dazzle with their skill on the ball.

Just the sort of thing which will help Draxler and Firmino wow fans and spectators once again when they run out for their teams in Russia.

Set to feature at its seventh straight World Cup, the adidas Predator football boot has featured in some of the biggest World Cup moments of the last 24 years.

Once again some of the games’ biggest names will wear Predator boots in Russia including the likes Paul Pogba, Mesut Ozil, Dele Alli and Ivan Rakitic as they take to the pitch in the Energy Mode Predator 18+.

The boot first came to prominence in 1994 on the feet of established stars such as Ronald Koeman and featured a cutting edge design with aggressive rubber fins inspired by a prototype designed by Australian and Liverpool legend Craig Johnstone.

While the boot has had many evolution since those early days, The Predator continues to push the envelope on how a football boot can help the world’s best players take their game to the next level.

One of the most obvious changes is the disappearance of laces from the latest Predator with the boot now featuring a Purecut Laceless design which adidas claims will give players maximum control, while the Primeknit Sockfit collar and Boost midsole is meant to ensure the boot is both comfortable and supportive.

The Predator isn’t the only boot at the World Cup pushing the boundaries of technology.

With the greatest prize in football on the line, any small advantage could be the difference between winning and losing.

With the latest football boot technology on their feet, stars like Pogba, Ozil, Suarez, Draxler, Firmino and Jesus will have nothing holding them back from making their mark on the World Cup.
