The Zwift Virtual Tour de France is just around the corner, and Mitchelton-Scott have named a varied squad to take on the rest of the world. The team will be headlined by climbers Adam Yates and Esteban Chaves, with Yates set for the Mont Ventoux stage.

With the number of rider participations capped and reduced team sizes, the Australian team has gone with a mixed approach in the event.

Mitchelton-Scott will not field a women's squad, with most of the team being based in Australia and the hours not working for them.
SBS will broadcast the event, with all stages to be streamed on Cycling Central and the final two stages on SBS VICELAND.

Apart from it being the e-racing debut of cycling’s prestige event, the Virtual Tour de France is historic for another big reason, as there will be a women’s race running concurrent to the men’s.

Both will be contested along the same course, covering the same distance and receiving equal televised coverage.

Instead of racing for prizemoney, charity will be the benefactor from the event, with Tour de France United set to donate bikes to disadvantaged communities.
