The arena’s exterior design and colour pattern are inspired by Mordovia’s folk art, specifically featuring the symbol of the sun, which can also be found on the flag of the Republic of Mordovia. For the host city of Saransk the sun symbolizes the genuine warmth and friendliness of its residents.
