He stole hearts across the country as the winner of the most recent X Factor competition. With a soulful voice, maturity and composure belying his age, there has been no rest for Firebrace since the competition ended, and today we get to hear the results of intense recording experience, his debut album: Isaiah.
Recorded in just over a week, the debut album leads with Isaiah's debut single 'Gotta Be You' and features his auditon song 'Hello' and other popular tunes he covered during the competiton. Speaking to Koori Radio today, Isaiah said that he enjoyed the process of laying down the tracks and did it in a short amount of time. "It was crazy because I won the show, went straight to the ARIA's and then straight to the studio to record. I finished up quick because I like to work very efficiently. I can't wait to hear other people listening to it! It's going to be crazy."
It's been an intense journey for the talented singer, who was also an X-Factor contestant back in 2015, but was eliminated after forgetting his lyrics at a 'bootcamp' performance. Overcoming nerves to return to the X-Factor stage and ultimately taking out the title showed a strength of character and self-belief that he hopes will be an inspiration to others he says, "never give up on your dreams."
His favourite part of the journey so far? "The opportunity to share my songs and my singing with Australia and people (in general) that's something that I've always wanted to do, so to be living that dream is just really amazing."
Firebrace is hitting the road now to promote the album, heading to his hometown of Echuca, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with some further tour dates for 2017 currently in the works. For all the dates and to follow his journey head
