When 23-year-old Danyaal Mahmund threw a milkshake at Tommy Robinson last week, he might not have expected to become the United Kingdom's poster boy of protest.

That's exactly what has happened.

The apprentice customer services adviser joined demonstrators waiting to meet the English Defence League founder, who is now vying to become an MP for North West England as an independent.

Much like Fraser Anning's Conservative National Party - Robinson has long been accused of , anti-immigration sentiment in the country.

In a now viral video, Robinson is seen confronting Mahmund on the street. After a short exchange a frustrated Mahmund threw his milkshake in Robinson's face.

One man, filming the incident, is heard shouting at Robinson "that's what you get for being a fascist".

Mahmund has become - for some - the face of resistance in the UK: reaching 'Egg Boy' level fame. But he's not happy about the notoriety.

Speaking to the , he said he has since received death threats.

"I'm a low-key person, I didn't anticipate this publicity and I don't want it ."
I'm getting death threats on social media and I am worried about me and my family being targeted.
Much like Egg Boy's protest against Fraser Anning after the Christchurch attacks, Milkshake Man's food throwing has been celebrated and he's being viewed as an anti-facist hero.
There have even been reports of another milkshake thrown at Tommy Robinson since the initial incident.

Robinson has claimed that he was attacked by the "aggressive Milkshake Muslim" who followed him as he travelled through a region in Northern England.

One English comedian has asked for a petition to unite Milkshake Man and Egg Boy and fly them "around the world fighting racism with dairy products".
