Members of Australia's disability community say this year's Sydney Mardi Gras Parade has been a special one, marking the first full-scale celebration of the event since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Eighty people marched with national disability rights group People with Disability Australia.

The organisation's president, Nicole Lee, says she hopes the visibility of the group during WorldPride will further conversations on supporting empowerment. She spoke with Biwa Kwan.
