Where to find SBS content outside Facebook

Facebook has decided to block Australian news content on its platform. Here is where you can access SBS content.

Facebook has decided to ban Australian users from reading or sharing news on its platform.

But you can still find the SBS content you love on the SBS News page. Our current affairs content can be found on the Dateline website, on the Insight website and on The Feed website.

You can read and watch content from Australia's only Indigenous channel, NITV here.

You can also follow Dateline on social media via our Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. All of Dateline's episodes can also be viewed on On Demand.

Why did this happen?

The decision by Facebook means Australian news publishers will no longer be able to share stories on Facebook, and international news won’t be visible or able to be shared by local Facebook users, while overseas Facebook users also won’t be able to read or share Australian content.

The landmark decision was made in retaliation to Australia’s proposed new Media Bargaining law, with the federal government pushing forward with a plan to force social media giants to pay for news content.
