An 18-year-old man has been shot dead in what police say was a targeted attack in southwest Sydney.
Emergency workers called to Cabramatta Avenue at Miller just after 11pm on Saturday found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Paramedics tried to revive the man - identified by multiple media outlets as Omar Elomar - but he died at the scene.
No arrests had been made over the shooting on Sunday evening. Forensic police spent much of Sunday morning at the crime scene and searched the adjacent Miller Park.
"The incident is not random - it was targeted - however at this stage it's very, very early in the investigation," Superintendent Adam Whyte told reporters on Sunday.
