Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen has not ruled out a future Labor government reversing the re-instatement of the building watchdog.
The Turnbull government managed to secure support in the Senate to pass its amended Australian Building and Construction Commission legislation last week, resolving the issue that triggered this year's double dissolution election.
"We are not impressed with the case for the ABCC, that hasn't changed ... In terms of what we take to the next election it is an opportunity for the shadow cabinet to deliberate on the policy position," Mr Bowen told Sky News on Sunday.
