WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is in the United Kingdom and his whereabouts is known to police, a British newspaper claims.
The Independent says Mr Assange has supplied police with his contact details in October when he arrived in the country, but they have so far refrained from acting an international arrest warrant, issued by Interpol.
It is believed the 39-year old Australian is residing in England's south-east.
Mr Assange is wanted in Sweden over rape charges, and Interpol yesterday issued a "red notice" for his arrest.
The Independent says Britain's Serious Organised Crime Agency has so far refused to authorise the Interpol notice, saying the agency needs clarification on the arrest warrant.
