Census 2021 data shows that the number of Urdu speakers has increased by more than 60% to more than 111,000 and that over 60% of this population are Australian citizens. 96000 Pakistanis are part of 111, 873 Urdu speakers living in Australia. The majority reside in Victoria and NSW. NSW is still having the largest population of Urdu-community but three victorian suburbs are among the top five suburbs where the Urdu community lives now.
