While sharing his memoirs he told SBS Urdu that he had a "great time" in Pakistan, especially the time he spent in Lahore left indelible imprints in his life.
“I lived in Pakistan from 2005 to 2013." Summer said.
"They were hospitable, compassionate and loving people. I have met some incredible people like Zeba Bakhtiar and her son Azaan, Shaan Shahid who was also working in one of my films O21.”
'Operation 21' was the first spy thriller film from Lollywood. Summer Nicks directed the film along with Jami Mahmood. The film was based on a Pakistani spy and his counterpart in Afghanistan who wanted to save their countries after decades of war in Afghanistan.

The film was released in 2014 and won Lux style award in the category of best film. Executive producer and lead actress Amina Sheikh won New York film festival award in the category of best actress.

Pakistani movies in Australia
Seedlings (Lamha) was Summer's another social movie directed in Pakistan. It was story of a happy couple whose life was changed after a tragic incident.
Seedlings won SAARC film festival award in the category of best film and Summer was nominated for New York film festival awards in the category of best original screenplay.
Inspired by Pakistan's food, Summer opened a restaurant in Lahore.

”Every Sunday we used to have Nashta (Breakfast) at a famous restaurant in Lahore and ate Halwa Puri. It was like a ritual for us to perform every Sunday,” he said.
Lahoris are fond of food and you have always a lot of options to eat.
But it wasn't just the food that Summer liked, he was also deeply inspired by Pakistan's scenic beauty of the northern areas.
“The beauty of Deosai plains, Himalayas, Hindu Kush and the Karakorum is beyond words. One cannot explain it in words. That beauty is mesmerizing."
Pakistan is blessed with natural beauty and serenity of landscape is worth watching.

Summer said that there is a perception that it is not safe to visit Pakistan.
“I will say that do not listen to them who have not travelled or visited Pakistan; ask them who have witnessed the good side Pakistan and you will not regret your decision.
"It is the most beautiful country on Earth and I would recommend everyone to go out there and meet with people."
About his future in Pakistan, he said that he still has projects going in Pakistan with his business partner Meher Jaffery and he is assisting her at the moment from Australia.
