From June 30, the Australian Government is enforcing you can carry onboard.
The rules will apply to international passengers and domestic passengers departing from international terminals. These restrictions do not apply to your checked-in baggage.
If you travel with powders in your carry-on baggage, you should expect changes to the way you are screened at airport security from June 30. All powders must be separately presented for screening.
Organic powders are no limit but restrictions apply to inorganic powders.
There are quantity restrictions on the amount of inorganic powder that can be carried, such as salt, talcum powder and sand. The total volume of inorganic powders must not exceed 350 mL (or 350 g) in total container.
Liquid, aerosol or gel items must be in containers of 100 mL (or 100 g) or less.

The quantity restrictions on the amount of Liquids include perfume, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash and oils and Aerosols include deodorant, hairspray, sunscreen spray and shaving cream while Gels include lip gloss, hairstyling gels, jam, yogurt, honey and toothpaste.
Baby products, prescription and non-prescription medicines including special dietary products, and medical items required during a flight are exempt. For medicines and medical items, you will need to present these items along with proof at the screening point.
