Australia records more than 2,000 new cases in a single day

For the first time during the Covid-19 pandemic, Australia has recorded more than 2,000 new cases in a single day. Almost 1600 was in NSW alone.


Despite the high case load in Sydney, beaches across the city were packed, as temperatures pushed towards 30 degrees.

 But Health Minister Brad Hazzard wasn't letting it concern him.
