The Australian Tax Office has reportedly billed seven large multinational companies for almost three-billion-dollars in unpaid tax.
The companies targeted are said to include technology firms Apple, Microsoft and Google, along with mining giants Rio Tinto and B-H-P.
The tax office is trying to recover the money just one month out from the federal budget.
Labor finance spokesman Jim Chalmers told Sky News the federal government is helping companies suspected of underpaying tax with further cuts.
