NSW

New South Wales recorded 282 new locally acquired cases to 8pm last night, and one death, a man in his 80s from Wollongong. He was unvaccinated.

The Hunter New England Local Health District recorded 49 new cases, and continues to lead the state’s health districts with regards to daily cases. There were 12 in Newcastle, 8 in Lake Macquarie, 8 in Maitland, 8 in Cessnock, 6 in Midcoast, 5 in Port Stephens and 2 in Dungog.

The Western NSW Local Health District recorded 7 new cases, all of which were in Orange.

The Far West Local Health District recorded just one new case in Gol Gol.

The Mid North Coast Local Health District is holding a three-day Pfizer vaccination blitz in Kempsey specifically for the Aboriginal community. It’s a walk-in clinic at Service Clubs Park on Belgrave Street in Kempsey, and it’s open for all Aboriginal people aged 12 and up.

The first day will be tomorrow, Wednesday October 27th, from 10am to 3pm. And then again at the same time on Friday and Saturday, the 29th and the 30th. Get in early, no need to make an appointment, just bring your Medicare card and you can receive your Pfizer vaccination.

Victoria

In Victoria there were 1510 new locally acquired cases to midnight last night, and 4 deaths. This brings the total number of active cases across the state to 24,715.

Regional Victoria recorded 228 new cases, including 41 in Latrobe, 36 in Wodonga, 26 in Shepparton, 24 in Bendigo and 10 in Mildura.

There are now 285 active cases across Greater Shepparton, and 199 in Mildura.
