The latest news on the current Delta strain outbreak affecting the Northern Territory, NSW and Victoria's Indigenous communities.

Northern Territory

Northern Territory recorded six new cases across its two growing clusters overnight — five in Robinson River and three in Katherine.

The three cases in Katherine are a man in his 30s and two women in their 20s.

The five Robinson River cases are two men and a woman in their 20s, a 13-year-old girl and a three-week-old girl.

All eight cases are Aboriginal people, and all have been flown to the Centre for National Resilience in Darwin to isolate for treatment.

Anyone who has been to and left Katherine since Sunday November 7 onwards must get tested as soon as possible, symptomatic or not, and isolate until the results come back. The same applies to anyone who’s been to and left Robinson River from Thursday November 11 onwards.

For those in both Katherine and Robinson River, the lockdowns have been extended in both areas until 6pm on Monday November 22, which is next Monday.

There’s also now a mask mandate in place across all of the Northern Territory until 6pm on November 22.

Masks must be worn outside the home when social distancing isn’t possible, by workers who come into contact with patrons or work in crowded environments, and by restaurant, bar and cafe patrons unless eating or drinking.
