Indian man caught for driving at 190km/h

An Indian man has been caught on Tuesday after police found him driving down a Victorian country freeway at a speed of 190km/h. He did not possess an Australian license, police said.

The 21-year-old Indian national living in Sydney was driving through a Victorian country freeway at 190km/h in a rental car.  The car driven in high speed was spotted by police on Princes Freeway in Drouin on Tuesday evening.

Police intercepted the car in a 110km/h zone on Sand Roadand and found that he was driving with four intoxicated passengers on board.
Police said the man who does not hold an Australian driver's license had never driven in Victoria before.
The driver told police that he had his music on and was just enjoying the drive.

Police contacted the rental company from where he rented out the car and were advised to seize the keys.

The man will be charged on summons with traffic offences.
