Choose present, then it will lead your way to the future.

Lucia is a Korean calligrapher who travels around the world. Even though she did not major in arts, she has kept her interest in calligraphy from childhood, and eventually made herself an artist.

Her professional career started in very interesting way. She participated in weekend artists' market and wrote her visitors' names on her business card for 8 years, and that business card was handed over to a marketing company.

The most famous art of her is "Joeun Day" Soju (first version) and she wrote for many different marketing materials. However, feeding family solely out of her art income was hard. She went through hard stages of life, but finally realised she can still remain as an artist as long as her mind is there.

From 2 years ago, she started travel overseas to visit her friends she met from the art market and held workshops and did the lectures. She does not make profit but this furthers her art and gives her a tremendous joy. Her friends help her and she also help them to find their dreams.

She calls it "living by currency of dream, not currency of gold". When asked about the anxiety about the future, she said she chose present, not future. She sees herself through to know what direction she wants to go now, and then present leads her way to the next. Her only dream would be visiting Berlin and New York and meet the people there and show the beauty of Korean calligraphy.
