In 2003 the world watched as a dramatic sea chase of the North Korean cargo ship, the Pong Su, ended in Sydney.
Australian Federal Police had been monitoring an Asian crime syndicate which tried to smuggle 150 kilograms of heroin into Australia via Victoria.
The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age have just launched the podcast "The Last Voyage of the Pong Su" which includes never-heard-before details from the Australian Federal Police and some of the North Korean crew.
The saga will also be dramatised in a feature film as the first official Australian-Korean co-production.
