QLD adds Liverpool and Campbelltown in NSW to the list of hotspots

The Queensland government on Tuesday declared the Liverpool and Campbelltown local government areas as COVID-19 hotspots.

The Queensland government on Tuesday declared the Liverpool and Campbelltown local government areas as COVID-19 hotspots.

Residents of those areas who try to enter Queensland will be barred entry, while Queensland-based visitors will be forced into 14 days of hotel quarantine once they return home.

"From noon today the cities of Liverpool and Campbelltown in NSW will be added to the list of hotspots along with all the local government areas in Victoria which have (already) been in place,"  Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.


"No-one from those cities will be able to quarantine in Queensland and will be turned away at the border.
