Chinese students from both the pro-Hong Kong and pro-Beijing groups have clashed in their respective rallies at some of Australian university campuses.

Both groups argue  they were subjected to intimidation tactics after what started as a peaceful pro-democracy protest escalated into a violent scuffle.

They have chanted in their own protest respectively,  “One China”, “Stop violence in Hong Kong”.

SBS Korean Program intensively covered the incidents eliciting vehement feedback from the audiences.

Nobby Na commented, “Why do they come to this democratic country if they want to behave like that?  They should go to another nation like a communist country.”

Shinki Kim has left a message “It reflects the danger of brainwashing by the communist regime”, Su Kwon “they have to clash in China not in Australia” and Jong-woong Park has stated, “It is ludicrous to force those who does not want to be Chinese, to be chauvinistic.  China is just greedy for the infrastructure and strategic location of Hong Kong.”

Seung Won Jung’s comment was “One China does not necessarily have to be the People’s Republic of China.” And HyeonHu Park argues “they can’t be one with different ideology, considering the religious war in the medieval times.”
