Perth hospitals on standby for any sick Australians on flight from Wuhan

Two hospitals in Perth are on standby to receive any passengers who fall ill while travelling from China en route to Christmas Island.

Indonesia ceased direct flights to mainland China after the virus outbreak.

Australians evacuated from China will be flown to Perth for hospital treatment if they fall ill before being taken to Christmas Island.

More than 240 Australians are heading home on a Qantas flight that has left Wuhan, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
