LG Twins, the baseball team in South Korea, host a fan event and exhibition game this Saturday 22nd February at to support the Australian community affected by bushfire in this summer season.
LG Twins is currently training in Australia for their summer camp from 29th January to 24th February.
The donations collected at this event and LG Electronics Australia’s donation of $500,000 will be delivered to (Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation).
The donation by LG Electronics Australia will significantly bolster the emergency ‘WIRES Wildlife Relief Fund’ for frontline wildlife rescue and volunteer groups. The fund provides immediate assistance to cover the costs associated with the rescue and care of animals affected by fire, drought and extreme weather conditions.
LG Electronics Australia’s spokesperson said “the bushfires have had a devastating impact not only on communities, but also on the Australian wildlife with approximately 113 species of native animals identified as needing “urgent help”.
LG Electronics Australia will match staff donations to WIRES dollar-for-dollar as part of our ongoing employee engagement program.
