Victoria edges closer to returning to "business at usual"

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced additional moves towards easing Melbourne's COVID-19 lockdown after the two-week rolling average for new cases in the city fell to 22.1.

After a steady decline in COVID-19 cases in recent days, the State is experiencing the first day without curfew since the start of the second wave of the pandemic.


Meanwhile, the situation continues to improve in the other States as well, while, at the federal level, a deficit explosion is worrying. We reviewed the lockdown news in Victoria with our Australian politics correspondent, Paul Scutti.
