Italy extends emergency COVID-19 measures until July 31

After considering an extension of the state of emergency until the end of the year, Italy has extended its emergency coronavirus measures until the end of July. Meanwhile, negotiations about the Recovery Fund continue.


Premier Giuseppe Conte first declared the state of emergency on January 31st, before Italy's first Covid-19-related deaths.

Residents in metropolitan Melbourne are subject to stay-at-home orders and can only leave home for food and essential supplies, work, study, exercise or care responsibilities. People are also advised to wear masks in public.


People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your state’s restrictions on gathering limits.
