There are currently no reliable data on domestic violence situation since the pandemic is still going on, but Google is seeing an increase of 75 per cent for domestic violence help, the highest magnitude of searches that they have seen in the past five years, and some services are already reporting an increase in demand.

Why? Dr. Laura Tarzia, Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Lead of the Abuse and Violence Program at the Department of General Practice, The University of Melbourne, explains.
