COVID-19 exposes Australian universities crisis

Since the start of the pandemic, the closure of borders has threatened the livelihood of several sectors. With the help of some academics - Andrea Rizzi of Melbourne University, Margherita Angelucci of Monash University and Gabriele De Rubis of University of Technology Sydney - we have tried to understand what could be the medium and long-term consequences of the pandemic on tertiary education in Australia. According to trade unions, it will take years for the sector to recover this year's losses and there is further uncertainty about the future.
