Coronavirus in Italy: restrictions to be gradually lifted from May

In Italy some activities will restart on the 4th of May, but the Premier warns that the new phase will be "very complex".


According to data provided by the Civil Protection, a record number of people recovered and a slight drop in victims from COVID19 were recorded on 22 April. "The number of people discharged and healed in one day has never been so high", reads the bulletin, even if the number of infected people and deaths in Italy is still dramatically high.

Italian Premier, Giuseppe Conte, will present by the weekend the plan for the so-called Phase 2, ie the end of the lockdown and the resumption of activities, which he announces will be "very complex".
