Figures presented yesterday by the National Skills Commission reveal that more than one in two employers finds it difficult to hire due to the lack of people applying.


According to The Australian newspaper "the unemployed prefer to receive subsidies rather than work". But is it true? We asked Max Tani, a professor of finance at the University of New South Wales-Canberra.
