A team of British scientists conducted a clinical study on a total of 6,000 coronavirus patients and obtained very positive results using dexamethasone.

Dexamethasone, a very cheap and readily available steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, has proven to be very effective in fighting the most serious cases of coronavirus.

This was revealed by a British study on 2,000 patients who were given this drug as opposed to 4,000 who did not take the drug. The results are encouraging: the survival rate increased by 35% in the patients of the first group.

According to Maria Pia degli Esposti, Professor and Head of the Experimental and Viral Immunology Laboratory at Monash University, this is a real turning point in the battle against the disease.
