Surging numbers of COVID cases. The importance of taking responsibility for each other

As the Coronavirus continues to spread, people are being urged to get boosters.

Since 15 December the number of COVID-19 cases began to surge in Australia. Some doctors warned that if this trend continues it will put severe pressure on state and territory COVID testing programs and health systems. To combat the spread there was a call to reduce the wait time between the second and booster vaccinations. So away from the politics, what should that gap really be?


Dicky Budiman is an epidemiologist who is undertaking research to complete his PhD at Griffith University.  He explains to Sri Dean his preferred gap between the second and booster vaccinations while stressing the importance of citizens also taking responsibility for each other.
