Sports Diplomacy: What it is and why it is important

As part of the Monash Indonesian Seminar Series (MISS) the Monash Herb Feith Engagement Centre will hold a seminar entitled “Sports Diplomacy: How we can grow Indonesia Australia Relations”. The seminar will explore the range of benefits to Australia and Indonesia that will come through sport. What opportunities exist?


Prof Sharyn Davies isDirector of the Herb Feith Indonesia Engagement Centre and Associate Professor in the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, at Monash University.  She explains to Sri Dean the purpose of the seminar, and her hopes for the future of sports diplomacy between Indonesia and Australia.
