RAT is recommended when attending functions during the holiday season

It is recommended that people take a RAT test before going to crowded places with concerns the fourth wave of COVID-19 is approaching the year-end holiday season.


Omicron sub-variants drove this fourth wave - including one called B-Q-One-Point-One as well as many other variants.

Virologists from Sydney's Kirby Research Institute say the variant can avoid antibodies.
Fortunately the impact of transmission of those variants does not appear to be as severe as previous variants.
