In the exhibition LEGENDA at the Signal gallery in Melbourne, four mythical Indonesian characters are shown negotiating life in an Australian context. What Indonesian values do they bring to their new home?

Natasha Hertanto is a young writer and artist who worked with Helena Wijaya to bring the exhibition LEGENDA to the Signal gallery.  Natasha explains what people will see at the exhibition of photos, textiles and murals and why she chose folkloric characters to deal with issues of identity and belonging.
