Temporary visa holders who are trapped overseas call on the Australian government to disclose the criteria that allow them to be banned for travel.


Thousands of people joined the campaign to pressure the government to open its borders for temporary visa holders to be able to return to their jobs, homes and families in Australia.

Since February the Ministry of Internal Affairs has received more than 1300 applications for special consideration from non-residents who want to come here. And about 20 percent have been rejected because they do not meet the criteria.
