Dr Dicky Budiman, an epidemiologist who is currently completing his PhD at Griffith University explained to Sri Dean in his interview on the 14th of September that while COVID-19 new cases or death may be dropping, people need to be vigilant. He also gave an update on Flu A and B.

It is adviced that when using public transport such as train, tram or buses, face masks should be used while the government does not make it compulsary anymore.
National Cabinet has decided to scrap mandatory isolation for people infected with COVID-19 upon receiving advice about very low community transmission in Australia. The five-day isolation requirement will end from October 14 but financial support will be provided for people who work in high risk settings like aged care so they can isolate, if needed.
