Want to study in Australia? No worries. You need to prove that your financial capacity according to new changes to an Australian student visa, in order to satisfy the criteria.
According to a migrant agent SBS Punjabi program talked to, the Department of Home Affairs has increased overseas students' annual expenses to over $21,000 along with the course fee if they want to apply for an Australian Student Visa.
What is more, if that student is married and wants to bring his/her partner and kids to Australia with him, additional financial evidence is also required. For a spouse or de facto partner it required over $7,000, and it is over $3,000 per child, but if your child will attend school in Australia, over $8,000 is also required.
Apart from this the department also wants students to provide evidence of annual income of over $62,000 for single and over $72,000 if they bring another applicant with them to Australia.
So now it will be harder for international students who want to study in Australia to get an Australian Student Visa as they have to prove that they are both financial capability and English proficiency.
