Indian woman fighting for life after being struck in hit-and-run

A 56-year-old Indian woman, resident of Melbourne, was struck by a car and pinned against a barricade around 2.30am on Monday morning, reported.
The woman was inspecting a taxi she owned which had been involved in a minor incident in Truganina, Melbourne’s West when she was struck by a car.

She is now fighting for her life in the hospital, reported.

A tow-truck driver who was present at the scene with the woman noted down the car’s registration details which helped the police track down the driver.

Victoria Police arrested the driver of the alleged car from Truganina on Monday morning.

He was questioned but later released pending further investigations by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives.
