VBM: Air India Sydney - Delhi schedule for February and March

India's national carrier Air India will run one flight every week from Sydney to Delhi and back in February and March.

Under phase eight of the Vande Bharat Mission, an initiative by the Indian government to bring its citizens back from different parts of the world, Air India flights will be available from Sydney to Delhi every week.

In February and March 2021, eight flights will be available from India to Australia, and a similar number of flights from Australia to India.

Highlights:

Air India will organise repatriation flight from Australia every week.
A total of eight flights will be available from Sydney to Delhi.
India has opened its borders for OCI, PIO cardholders.

All these flights are between Sydney and New Delhi international airports.

Australians protest to include parents as immediate family members

Flights from Delhi to Sydney are crucial for people who want to travel to Australia, as currently, there's little option available for them. Hundreds of Australians are stuck in India due to the international border closures.

Indian Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri says 5.2 million people had travelled from different parts of the world to India since May last year when the Vande Bharat Mission was launched.

"We reached out to our citizens stranded around the world & continue undaunted with Vande Bharat Mission which is now in its 8th phase. International travel & repatriation of more than 5.2 million people facilitated so far," tweeted Mr Puri.
