Greek Australian stage director Stathis Grapsas talks to SBS Greek about his latest production, "The Marbled Time", in cooperation of the National Theater of Greece.

The National Theater of Greece continues the theatre personal development workshops for detainees, implemented in cooperation with the General Secretariat for Criminal Policy of the Ministry of Justice at several Greek detention centers.

The workshop with the theatre group began in September 2017. The workshops gave the detainees the choice to raise their own voice as a basic communication tool rather than using their bodies.

After many changes in the text and composition of the group, the play entitled "The Marbled Time" will be staged on the 8th and the 9th of June.

It is about the story of a man who at some point in his life made a simple thought; to take care of four people who didn't know them and they needed to be taken care off.

It is about the power of the human soul and its problem to cope with difficult circumstances. it is also about the necessity of companionship in our lives.
