The 37th Greek Festival of Sydney presents a performance titled “The Birth of Ancient Greek Theatre”, with actors that have arrived from Greece.


Among them is Harry Aronis who states that the performance highlights essentially the birth of the world theatre and the significance that this has especially for the western civilisation.

:We follow the history of ancient Greek drama, from its birth in religious ceremonies and traditional popular theatre to the four greatest dramatists of the fifth century BC, the tragedians Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides and the comic playwright Aristophanes. Mr Aronis says Mr Aronis.
